This people on Main street and Hastings are not waiting for the bus...they are on the other side...call them Zombies, drug addicts or however you want, but those folks out there need our help and hopefully the Operation Phoenix I mention yesterday will help...this is the not so nice side of this beautiful city.

It is sad for me to see this, since I have always thought of Vancouver in particular as, I don' know if I can call it that, a faultless, perfect City.
Still I do appreciate that you show us both sides.
I understand what you are saying but then I wonder how many of those on that side of street did something on their own that got them on that side.
I don't really have as much sympathy for people who kill themselves by smoking (like I did) or using drugs (I never did) but they are there.
Interesting post. Good for thinking.
It's always so sad seeing groups and even individuals in this state. I hope your city's project really can help them.
Like every man, every city has its dark side, which can be a district, a point of history, or some kinds of people, or all that at the same time.Are there really solutions? Only time gives an answer.And the folks you show have maybe not time to wait..
