Inukshuk



This AMAZING Sculpture was constructed originally by Alvin Kanak of Rankin Inlet, this monument was commissioned by the Government of the Northwest Territories for its pavilion at Expo 86, and given to the City of Vancouver.

Permanent location of the Inukshuk on this site was sponsored as a gift to the city in 1987 by Coast Hotels through the Vancouver Legacies Programs.

Great to see you and Wayne both keeping Vancouver in the CDPB linelight.

I've just been revisiting some of my old posts from 2 years ago. In one http://hydedailyphoto.blogspot.com/2006/08/town-hall-clock.html I had a link to the "steam clock" in Vancouver. Alas the archives to the old Vancouver Daily Photo have been killed. If you know the clock I mean, maybe you could feature it here sometime.

This is a wondeful images. Those silhouetted trees against that sllight bue light. Interesting sculpture too.
